Campus of Wright State University (WSU) is wide, beautiful and comfortable, especially for a person like me who came from a university in urban area. It consists of "campus" area with university buildings, wide woods area where we can enjoy walking in woods, sports area with huge Nutter Center staduim and many other sports fields, and villedge area with lots of students housing facilities (and more area, I suppose). It is so wide that I could only walk around within campus area. But in the campus area, you can enjoy many fine art works. Today I will introduce some of them. (Actually, there are many arts in buildings. But I am still far from finishing my exploration.)
First of all, I have to introduce this vivid object, titled "Turning Points". It is placed in the center of campus and almost looks like the symbol of WSU. As the name says, a number of lines are gethering and departing again. And the object as a whole looks like a airplane, doesn't it? I suppose it is also symbolising this place, "birthplace of aviation""town of Air Force base".
Walking down the campus, you will find another large object standing on the ground. First, I could not find the title plate around there for a while. Instead, It has several black plates, with same poetry in different languages -- English, Greek, Chinese, and so on. As the poem starts with "hunger and fear ...", I used to call this work the statue of hunger. Later on, inside the building (behind the gray back wall in the picture) I finaly discovered the plate and got to know that the name of this work is "Divisions".

Feel hot walking around the campus? Then take a rest in Student Union Building. At the center square where a lot of students are gethering, standing is "Scenario." This very tall object has a continuous water flow at its foot. The water flow is making comfortable sound and may be offering a relaxing environment for the people there.
Again out to the campus. In front of the Engineering School Building is "TAU-BETA-PI". There are many posters, groups with the name of three greek characters in the university here (maybe not only within WSU). But I, with no background of Latin nor Greek languadge, cannot understand their underlying meanings.
Finally, although it is not an art work, another impressive object in the campus is the water tower. You can find similar towers everywhere in Dayton area, serving water for the residents of towns. This one, however, looks like an another symbol of the campus with its pretty shape in school colors of WSU.
